Things I want to achieve

I would like to be an organised person. You know the type that cleans up after her all the time, and does not have a room full of mess and clutter (first on my list of concerns due to a flat inspection tomorrow...)

I would like to not thrive on sugar/sweeteners/caffeine, and instead find energy in natural ways and not rely on additives....

I would like to be able to get to sleep easily at night, and wake up semi-refreshed in the morning. Or at least be just more of a morning person, since I do actually like mornings, and feel better when Im up and showered and ready for the day without so much rush...

I would like to exercise more and be less lazy. I would like to find the motivation and drive to go out and exercise because I know I need it, and I enjoy it when I do get out there...

I would like to stop eating so much crap and start thriving on healthier foods...

I would like to be able to save money so that I can afford everything I need - such as dentists, and counselling...

I would like to be happy......

I should try to set a better example :) I'm not usually as messy as I've been lately, life has just been so hectic... I usually cook more often, too. Maybe we should have one day a week that we cook something healthy for dinner together? Might be a good start, anyway...

At this stage of my life I really shouldnt need someone to set me a better example lol. And I dont know if it would actually help or just make me feel guilty....

The cooking thing could be a plan - worth a shot at least. But I am poor till next pay day so lets wait till then haha

I dunno, I think it's hard to be tidy when your flatmate leaves a mess everywhere she goes... ;P

Well then we are probably just very bad influences on each other lol

Tidyness is a habit. I started by not dropping everything when I walked in the door and instead putting it away - and finding a place for away to be. Once you do that for a week, you start looking for your handbag, your shoes in their away place. And whenever they aren't there, you reinforce yourself to put them away cause it is such a pain. Lists are good too, particularly ones that become internal - going to bed list = brush hair, wash teeth, use any relevent product, take off clothes, put them straight into hamper, put on pjs, make sure I haven't left anything lieing on the floor and put it away if I have, get into bed - type concept. I still haven't mastered folding washing right away though, so please don't think I am preaching :D

Um... what else do I know?
Choose to kick caffine or sugar at first. Both at once becomes a homicidal rage... Learnt that from experiance...

I can't help you with mornings. I hate morning and it hates me :D

Exercise is habit (so they tell me).

And the best answer I have to the food thing is to work out how much you need to spend for lunch each day eating only something healthy, and get that much money out of an eftpos machine, and never use your eftpos card. And don't have anything unhealthy to eat in the house, so that you don't have that choice. At first it is really hard, but it gets easier... It is never simple.

I do ok with the tidy thing for a few days, and then I go home and I hate unpacking so everything ends up strewn all over the place, and I hate it.

I must resolve to do a little tidying every day....

Yeah Im doing sugarfree V at the moment. But then thats still sweetener so thats not helping. In fact I drink that or Coke Zero so I still have caffeine and sweetener *facepalm* Hmmm...... Is there a way to have caffeine without sugar?? And coffee doesnt really work.....

I like getting to work early in the morning, cos it means I can leave earlier, not that I get more done in the afternoon really. Its just a struggle to get up....

Oh exercise. Its my biggest demon (well that and food). Grr

Lunchtime food is actually ok - I get a sandwich/roll thing from the cafe at work. Its the rest of the day that screws me up. But yes I must stop spending money on takeaways, and get back into cooking. I do enjoy cooking. But again with the laziness....
